          Support During Treatment
While your child is being treated for pediatric brain cancer, you are running on worry and adrenaline.  These months are a whirlwind of activity - doctor appointments, treatments, work, family, everyday living.  You cannot get through this time alone.

There are various avenues of support at your disposal.  The types listed below are just a snap shot of what resources are available to you - ones that Kyla's family found very useful during their long journey.  We have captured these types under the following categories:

  • Parent Support
  • Patient Support
  • Sibling Support
  • Financial Support

Talk to your child's medical support team.  Pediatric hospitals typically assign a social worker to your case.  Social workers can offer a variety of resources to you on many support topics.
